Series table reference · 35 kV renewable-generation transformer

Yawei’s renewable page contains separate 35 kV and 10 kV oil-immersed transformer tables. This record covers the 35 kV, three-phase, two-winding, de-energized-tapping table for photovoltaic, wind and storage applications. Its capacity and voltage ranges support an interface brief; inconsistent loss-unit labelling prevents a reliable numerical loss schedule here.

Specify the transformer separately from the renewable substation

The page introduction discusses renewable substations, while the technical heading identifies a 35 kV oil-immersed three-phase two-winding transformer with de-energized regulation. This table alone does not define an inverter, switchgear, protection, enclosure or complete substation supply.

Name the project application—PV, wind or storage—and provide the converter/generator and collection-network interfaces. State whether the procurement is transformer-only or part of a coordinated station package. Allocate switching, controls, protection, enclosure, cables/buses and commissioning to explicit supply scopes rather than assuming the broad introduction includes them.

The source identifies these application categories but gives no project-specific converter waveform, overload cycle or bidirectional storage duty guarantee. Provide the actual operating profile and ask the maker to confirm the proposed design against it. An application label is not a completed suitability review.

Choose one configuration inside the 35 kV table

The table spans capacity entries from 1,000 to 12,500 kVA and shared HV 35–38.5 kV and LV 0.4–1.14 kV ranges. Those ranges do not prove every capacity/voltage combination is offered. Ask for an explicit selected ratio and all winding ratings.

The lower-capacity portion uses Yd11 and lists tap options; the 8,000 kVA portion changes to YNd11 and a narrower displayed tap entry. The neutral notation matters and should not be collapsed into one universal connection. Obtain a matched connection diagram and tap schedule for the chosen capacity.

A shared impedance range of 6–14% is shown, not one fixed value for every unit. Request the proposed impedance, reference base and tolerance and have it reviewed against the converter and collection system. The separate 10 kV table has its own capacity range, voltage choices and performance cells; its data is not imported into this record.

03

Resolve the original unit conflict before comparing losses

The 35 kV table labels no-load loss in kW and load loss in W while using decimal load-loss entries. The separate 10 kV table also contains unit/value inconsistencies. This review does not guess whether a label or a numeric scale is wrong, and no corrected losses are entered into the structured record.

Request a signed, capacity-specific guarantee schedule in unambiguous W or kW, with load-loss reference temperature, measurement basis and tolerances. Preserve the original table privately for traceability and compare only the returned, clarified values against other offers. A plausible engineering magnitude is not evidence for silently changing the manufacturer’s data.

For an operating-cost assessment, also supply converter/generator duty, loading, operating hours and energy-price inputs. Do not calculate savings, efficiency or annual loss from unresolved cells. Ask for the applicable electrical, thermal and dielectric evidence for the proposed renewable-duty design.

  1. Request corrected identification and units

Obtain a current exact model/rating schedule with clearly labelled loss units and conditions.

  2. Match the test scope

Check report model, ratio, duty and reference temperature against the offer.

  3. Approve the comparison basis

Use the same duty and supply boundary for all offers; retain any unresolved gaps.

04

Define station interfaces and commercial handover

Provide site altitude, ambient, exposure, equipment layout, terminal approach, access and service requirements. Ask for cooling ratings, oil and accessory scope, protection/control interfaces, final installed/transport drawings, masses, lifting and foundation information. No fixed footprint or environmental envelope is established by the family table.

Agree transformer factory tests, converter/station interface verification and site acceptance as separate responsibilities. Request matched reports, drawings and installation/maintenance instructions. Company credentials and general renewable-project statements do not establish the ordered transformer’s acceptance.

No verified price or lead time is available. Ask for an itemized quotation identifying transformer, oil, cooling/accessories, station equipment if included, tests, packing, transport and commissioning support. Require currency, trade term, date, validity and exclusions. Separate interface/drawing approval, manufacture, tests, dispatch, destination arrival and station commissioning; state the lead-time start event.

Q&A

Buyer questions

Is this a complete renewable substation package?

The selected table describes the transformer. Confirm any station equipment and integration scope separately.

Can the voltage ranges be combined freely?

No complete mapping is published. Obtain the exact capacity, ratio and winding schedule together.

Were the loss units corrected here?

No. The label/value conflict remains unresolved; numerical losses are withheld pending supplier clarification.

Is Yd11 interchangeable with YNd11?

The original table uses different notation by portion. Confirm the selected connection and neutral arrangement explicitly.

Can the 10 kV loss table support this 35 kV record?

No. It is a separate design reference and also has unit issues requiring clarification.
