Xinguang SC(B)10 1250 kVA catalogue row

Model specifications, source documentation and manufacturer contact.

Single capacity row · SC(B)10 historical catalogue

Xinguang lists 2,088 W no-load loss and 9,690 W load loss at 120 °C for the SC(B)10 1,250 kVA row. This is a useful starting point for a higher-capacity room or replacement brief, but moving from 1,000 to 1,250 kVA requires new electrical and installation approval, not just a different loss figure.

Keep the row, units and temperature together

The first performance table is headed SC(B)10. Its 1,250 kVA entry gives 2,088 W and 9,690 W, with the load-loss column explicitly referenced to 120 °C. The conversions are 2,088 ÷ 1,000 = 2.088 kW and 9,690 ÷ 1,000 = 9.690 kW. Preserve that temperature when comparing offers; it is not an allowable room temperature.

The shared high-voltage cell lists 6, 6.3, 6.6, 10, 10.5 and 11 kV; the secondary cell is 0.4 kV. Connection and tap cells also list options. Select one ratio, connection and tap arrangement and ask the maker to confirm the row’s relevance to the current design. Shared cells do not establish every possible combination.

The separate SC(B)11 1,250 kVA row has its own values. This page remains an SC(B)10 reference; it does not silently adopt the later table’s performance or comparative marketing claims.

Review a capacity increase across the installation

If considering an upgrade from the existing 1,000 kVA reference, provide the actual load requirement and existing nameplate to the responsible engineer. Ask for review of downstream equipment, protection, voltage/connection, impedance and site interfaces. The higher kVA catalogue row is not by itself evidence of a compatible replacement or permission to increase the load.

The source’s neighbouring SC(B)10 rows list 1,000 kVA at 1.768/8.126 kW and 1,250 kVA at 2.088/9.690 kW, both with load loss referenced to 120 °C. Those are different capacities. Their absolute losses should not be treated as a matched efficiency ranking or an annual saving calculation. Use the same project duty when comparing candidate sizes and include all relevant design conditions.

Request the final installed and transport dimensions, masses, mounting pattern, terminals and service clearances for the selected 1,250 kVA unit. No capacity-specific layout is supplied in the reviewed text. Existing floor space or terminals cannot be assumed compatible from the product-family photograph.

  1. Define the capacity need

Return load duty, future requirement and the existing installation data for engineering review.

  2. Review electrical interfaces

Approve the selected rating, connection, taps, impedance and protection interfaces.

  3. Release the room layout

Use order-specific dimensions, terminals and ventilation instructions before civil or cable work.

03

Ask for a complete cooling and room schedule

The SC(B)10 description gives indoor operation, ambient no higher than 40 °C and altitude no higher than 1,000 m, with AN/AF cooling and enclosure choices. It describes temperature monitoring and fan/alarm/trip functions. Confirm the actual supplied controls, enclosure and rating under each cooling condition.

The original ventilation wording contains an unclear unit string. No airflow figure is transferred from it into this page. Ask the manufacturer for ventilation and heat-rejection requirements for the chosen duty, enclosure and cooling package; do not treat the sum of catalogue loss columns as a constant room heat load.

The high-voltage-coil narrative uses F-class wording while the technical description uses H-class wording. Resolve the complete insulation system and permitted temperature rise in the current rating sheet. A low-voltage foil-form winding description does not prove the conductor metal of either complete winding.

04

Obtain the current design and release documents

The source cites older standards. Request the applicable current project requirements and matched test scope for the offered unit rather than assuming present compliance or production availability from the historical catalogue. Require losses, reference temperature, dielectric/thermal guarantees, controller checks and installation instructions in the acceptance schedule.

No verified price or lead time was established. Ask for an itemized offer for the selected 1,250 kVA configuration, including enclosure, fans, temperature controller, tests, packing, transport and site support. Request dated currency, trade terms and validity. Name the schedule’s start event and separate drawing approval, manufacture, tests, dispatch and arrival.

Q&A

Buyer questions

Is 120 °C the room-temperature limit?

No. It is the load-loss reference temperature. The catalogue indoor ambient statement is separate.

Is 1,250 kVA a drop-in upgrade from 1,000 kVA?

No compatibility is established. Review electrical, protection, room and terminal interfaces using current drawings.

Can I use a fixed airflow from the catalogue wording?

The reviewed unit string is unclear. Obtain a configuration-specific ventilation requirement from the maker.

Are SC(B)11 values applied here?

No. This page uses the SC(B)10 row and preserves the two design references separately.
